Tebex takes 5% on both of its plans, and it comes off the full order total before tax and gateway fees are taken out. We charge between 3.5% and 2.5% depending on your plan, worked out on what’s left after the gateway fee.
The short version
Tebex and PayNow do the same job: both are the Merchant of Record, so the platform is the legal seller and handles VAT, sales tax, fraud and chargebacks for you.
The difference is the fee. Tebex takes 5% of the full order amount, before tax and gateway fees come out. Ours is 3.5% on Free, 3% on Pro and 2.5% on Business, on what’s left after the gateway fee. On $10,000 a month that’s roughly $250 against $500, though Pro and Business have a monthly subscription, so run your own numbers.
